Contest Winner
Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) shined the safety spotlight during planting season on a special radio campaign. The “Nominate Your Favorite Farmer” contest, in cooperation with News Channel Nebraska, ran for six weeks in three regions. Six winners, two per region, were selected to receive recognition and a prize package containing a $200 Tractor Supply gift card and public power swag.
The public was asked to nominate their favorite farmer during planting season. The contest was to express gratitude to farmers and spread the important message of safety around powerlines, not only during planting season, but to always be cautious near powerlines.
