    Norris Public Power District is privi- leged to announce that Toby Becker has been awarded the 2022-2023 Util- ity Line Scholarship in the amount of $2,000. He has been accepted into the Utility Line Degree Program at North- east Community College (NECC) in Norfolk and will begin the two-year program in August 2022.
Toby will graduate from Waverly High School in May 2022. During high school, he participated in football and trap shooting. He also competed in the YMCA High School Basketball League.
He has been a member of the Rock Creek Ranchers 4-H Club for ten years. His 4-H projects have included woodworking, baking and showing livestock. Toby raises, shows and markets swine at the Lancaster County Fair.
Toby is the son of Lynn and Shari Becker. Toby helps his family on the family farm doing custom hay work, raising cattle and growing and harvesting soybeans and corn. Toby and his family are members of Peace Lutheran Church in Waverly.
He works for Becker Farms throughout the year and assists an area farmer during hay season. His hobbies include camping and water sports.

Norris is pleased to award a scholarship to help support a student as they pursue their career path and gain valuable skills needed for in-demand jobs in the electric utility industry.
