Youth Energy Leadership Camp
 The Nebraska Rural Electric Association (NREA) Youth Energy Leadership Camp (YELC) was held July 19 – 23, 2021 at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp in Halsey. Participants included 41 high school students from 20 Nebraska electric systems.

the five-day camp as a counselor. “Young adults are interested in having conversations about energy and the environment. I’m honored to have the opportunity to develop the next generation of energy leaders and to help them understand the electric industry,” said Paul.
     Norris strongly believes in promoting young adults to become interested in the future of electric energy. Isaak Hogeland was chosen by his peers at camp to represent Nebraska on a free trip to Washington, D.C. to attend the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association’s Youth Tour in 2022.
Caden Clapper learns what it takes to climb a power pole with the assistance of a camp counselor.
      Thank you, Hank, Isaak and Caden for representing Norris. You all have bright futures. We hope YELC gave you an opportunity to discover, learn, grow and build cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
