Investing In The Next Generation
Interns and seasonal employees are a valued part of the Norris team. As a member of Norris’ team, they are exposed to a variety of projects and tasks to foster career development, personal achievement and success at Norris. Internships provide students a chance to see what they learned in the classroom being applied in the field. It also gives Norris an opportunity to interface with the next generation of utility workers.
“These young men are basically getting to do everything a lineman would do,” said Trevor Wehrer, Manager of Operations and Safety. “The only difference is they are kept away from energized lines for their safety. My hope is these young men go back to school and share their summer work activities with others.”
