Mark Engler Retires After 35 Years
Mark Engler retired on April 1, 2021. Mark began his career as a lineman at Northeast Nebraska Public Power District in Wayne, Nebraska. He worked as a lineman in Wayne for eleven years, prior to starting work at Norris Public Power District on April 1, 1986.
Norris hired Mark as a Construction Foreman at the District’s office located in Fairbury. On May 1, 1992, Mark was promoted to the position of Construction Superintendent and relocated to Beatrice. Mark received his second promotion on August 1, 2000 when he started the position of Area Manager in Beatrice. In 2005, Mark was transferred to a position within the District’s Engineering Department as a Staking Technician. For the past 16 years, Mark has assisted with line routing, permit preparation, easement acquisition and surveying the District’s distribution and subtransmission lines.
Mark and his wife, Linda, live in Beatrice. They have three adult children and one grandson. Andrea Engler lives in Lincoln. Adam and daughter-in-law Callie Engler live in Beatrice with their son Hayes. Amber
In retirement, Mark plans to hunt, fish, reload ammunition,
do lawn maintenance
and spend more time
with his family.

Linda works as the Office Manager for Gleason Dental Clinic in Beatrice.

enthusiasm and willingness to assist customers and coworkers made a positive impact on Norris. We sincerely wish you a
wonderful retirement and lots of joyous time with your family.
