If there is not enough electricity being generated to meet customer needs, and the system remains unbalanced after conservation efforts, operators must take action to perform emergency manual load shedding (rolling outages) in an attempt to preserve the grid.

To give students an understanding of the legislative process, electric power generation, electric safety and careers that are available in the electric industry.
Entertainment
Fun activities, including tours of Gerald Gentleman Power Station, a coal-fired power plant near Sutherland and Kingsley Hydro-Electric Power Plant at Lake McConaughy near Ogallala.
Price
FREE! Norris will pay for meals, lodging and transportation to and from camp for up to four students.
Eligibility
Students who have completed their freshman, sophomore or junior year of high school, whose parents or guardians are served electrically by Norris.
