Norris Welcomes New Employees
Apprentice Linemen Begin Careers at Norris on August 16, 2021
   Skylar Schmidt
is from Grand
Island. He grad-
uated from Met-
ropolitan Com-
munity College,
majoring in Util-
ity Line, in Au-
gust 2021. Prior
to graduation, Skylar completed his required internship at Norris’ Ser- vice Center located in Centerville. Skylar was hired to fill a vacancy in the Centerville Service Center.
Skylar resides in Lincoln and his hobbies include fishing, working out at the gym and spending time with family and friends.
“I am very thankful and blessed to be hired after completing my internship at the District. I’m ready for Lights, Camera, Action as a new hire!”

Utility Line, in
August 2021. Jer-
rod is originally
from Kearney. He
moved to Lincoln as a young child and continues to call Lincoln home. Jerrod completed his required in- ternship at Norris’ Service Center located in Seward. He was hired to fill a vacancy in the Centerville Service Center.
Jerrod’s hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, going to the gym and spending time with family and friends.
“I’m thankful for getting an opportunity to become part of the Norris team following the completion of my internship. I’m excited to get started and see what the future holds.”

Wyatt Whitt is

land. He complet-
ed his internship
at the District’s
Service Center
located in He-
bron in 2020. He
graduated in May
2021 from Northeast Community College, majoring in Utility Line. Wyatt was hired to fill a vacancy in the District’s Service Center lo- cated in Hebron.
In Wyatt’s spare time, he enjoys archery hunting, fishing, jeeping in the river and camping with family and friends at the lake.
“I’m very glad to be back in Hebron and part of the Norris family again. I had the best time working to complete my internship in Hebron. I’m excited to start my career after two long years of school and hard work. I’m anxious to see where this journey will take me in the future.”
