A Tip Of The Hard Hat to Trevor Nitzel
 Trevor Nitzel has successfully completed the Merchant Job Training and Safety Program. The power line training program is widely recognized throughout the United States and several countries. The program serves as technical instruction for use in an apprenticeship program leading to journeyman lineman certification when joined with supervised, structured on-the-job training.
Trevor completed his lineman’s internship at Norris in the summer of 2014. He received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Utility Line Technology from Metropolitan Community College in Omaha. Trevor began his career as a lineman at the District on September 22, 2014 in Roca.
In his spare time, Trevor enjoys hunting, fishing and trap shooting.

Trevor also works on the Nitzel family farm raising cattle.
Trevor Wehrer, Manager of Operations and Safety said, “Job safety is important to everyone, no matter the occupation. For linemen, there can be no mishaps or careless actions. Linemen understand the magnitude of the hazards they face and take workplace safety measures to keep themselves and others around them safe. Safety must always come first, regardless of their other responsibilities.”
Congratulations to Trevor on his certification from the United States Department of Labor. Norris wishes Trevor continued success in his lifetime career as a lineman.
